About Williams & Varsegi, LLC
Williams & Varsegi, LLC is a boutique divorce and family law firm in Boca Raton, Florida, founded by attorneys Emerald Williams and Katie Varsegi. Family law is the only kind of law we practice. Our clients come to us at some of the hardest moments of their lives, and we have built our firm around giving them steady guidance, honest advice, and attorneys who know their case inside and out. We represent families throughout Palm Beach and Broward County in everything from straightforward uncontested matters to high-conflict, high-asset litigation.
Everything Family Law Because Family Is Everything
Our motto is more than a tagline. It describes how we practice. Both of our founding partners began their careers advocating for children in Florida’s courts, and that experience still shapes the way we approach every case. We look at the whole family, not just the legal issue in front of us, because the decisions made in a divorce or custody case affect parents and children for years to come. When you work with our firm, you work directly with an experienced attorney who takes the time to understand your goals and builds a strategy around them.
We use collaborative principles whenever possible to help clients reach fair agreements without the cost and emotional strain of a trial. When settlement is not realistic, we are fully prepared to go to court and advocate hard for our clients. That balance of negotiation and trial experience is what allows us to handle a wide range of matters, including divorce in Boca Raton, timesharing and parental responsibility, alimony, child support, high net worth divorce cases, paternity matters for parents who were never married, stepparent and foster care adoptions, and modifying or enforcing a final judgment after a divorce is complete.
Meet Our Attorneys
Katie Varsegi, Founding Partner
Katie Varsegi has dedicated her legal career to the families of South Florida. Before co-founding Williams & Varsegi, LLC, she gained years of trial experience litigating family matters on behalf of the State of Florida. Today her practice covers every part of divorce and family law, including timesharing, equitable distribution, alimony, child support, paternity, and adoption. Katie has extensive experience with high-conflict divorces involving complex financial assets and investments. Florida courts frequently appoint her to serve as a Guardian ad Litem in contested cases and as an Attorney ad Litem for children with extraordinary needs, and she has significant training in cases involving allegations of abuse, neglect, and substance abuse. Katie is a member of The Florida Bar, the State Bar of Wisconsin, the Palm Beach County Bar Association, and the Broward County Bar Association.
Emerald Williams, Founding and Managing Partner

She then practiced as a senior associate at a family law firm before co-founding Williams & Varsegi, LLC. Emerald is known for her work in high-conflict and high-net-worth divorces, and she devotes a large part of her practice to helping clients resolve disputes without lengthy litigation.
